Terms of Service

The short version
- ChooseIt is free and ad-free. It isn't run for profit, but it does cost money to operate.
- Be kind and keep it legal. What you create stays yours; you let us show it to the people you share it with.
- Supporting ChooseIt on Ko-fi is optional and doesn't unlock anything.
- You can stop using ChooseIt and delete your account at any time.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Yonathan Wolloch, who operates ChooseIt from Israel (“we”, “us”). By signing in or using ChooseIt, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use ChooseIt.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
What ChooseIt is
ChooseIt helps a group of people make a decision together. Each person swipes through options, like baby names, on their own, and a match appears when enough of the group likes the same one. You can use the built-in topics or create your own.
ChooseIt is free to use. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Who can use ChooseIt
There is no minimum age. If you’re under 18, use ChooseIt with a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure: anything done through your ChooseIt account is your responsibility.
- Choose a username that doesn’t pretend to be someone else or break the rules below.
- If you think someone else has got into your account, email us.
Using ChooseIt fairly
When you use ChooseIt, please don’t:
- Create topics, items, group names or usernames that are illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that infringe someone else’s rights.
- Pretend to be another person or organisation.
- Send unwanted friend requests or invites in bulk.
- Try to access other people’s accounts or data, or anything you aren’t meant to reach.
- Interfere with ChooseIt: overload it, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or copy its content with automated tools.
- Use ChooseIt to break the law or to harm anyone.
Your content
Custom topics, their items, group names and your username are your content. You keep ownership of it.
So that ChooseIt can work, you give us permission to store, copy and display your content to the people the app shows it to, such as the members of your groups and, for topics you share with friends, your friends. This permission is free, non-exclusive and worldwide, and we use it only to run ChooseIt. It ends when you delete the content, with two exceptions: a custom topic that another member’s group still uses stays available to that group, and deleted content can remain in backups for a short time, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Only add content you have the right to share.
Removing content and accounts
We may remove content, or suspend or delete an account, if it breaks these terms or the law, or if we need to in order to protect other people or ChooseIt. Where it’s reasonable, we’ll tell you what we did and why.
Supporting ChooseIt
ChooseIt is ad-free and isn’t run for profit, but it costs money to operate. You can choose to support it through Ko-fi.
- Support is entirely voluntary. It doesn’t unlock features or perks, and ChooseIt works the same whether you support it or not.
- Payments are made on Ko-fi and are covered by Ko-fi’s terms. Refunds follow Ko-fi’s terms and policies.
Complaints and reports
To report content or a user, or to make a complaint, email support@chooseit.dev. Tell us the username, group or topic involved and what’s wrong. We’ll look into every report.
No guarantees
We work to keep ChooseIt running well, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We can’t promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that data will never be lost. The decisions you make with ChooseIt are yours.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost data, lost profits or the cost of a decision made using ChooseIt. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to ChooseIt is limited to 100 Israeli new shekels.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability, or any of your rights, that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.
Ending your use
You can stop using ChooseIt at any time, and you can delete your account from Settings. Deleting it ends this agreement.
We may stop offering ChooseIt, or end your access under “Removing content and accounts”. If we shut ChooseIt down, we’ll try to give reasonable notice so you can download your data first.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute about them or about ChooseIt will be decided only by the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we’ll update them here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know before it takes effect. If you keep using ChooseIt after a change, the new terms apply.
